ABOUT MELODY JAY
Melody Jay is a distinguished DJ from Hawaii who has built a career sharing stages with renowned artists like Katy Perry, Ky-Mani Marley, Tarrus Riley, Collie Buddz, Inner Circle, Kapena, The Green, Common Kings, Eli-Mac, Stick Figure, The Vitals, Leilani Wolfgramm, and Hirie. She has interviewed artists like Ziggy Marley, SOJA, Thievery Corporation, Anuhea, Morgan Heritage, Jah 9, Jesse Royal, Tanya Stevens, and Cocoa Tea on-air. She also worked with J Boog on his music video shoot for “Let’s Do It Again” at Sandy Beach.
Most recently she has worked with high-profile clients including Tito’s Vodka, The NFL, and Taco Bell. In previous years she performed at Art Basel in Miami and focused on launching Maui Mommy Media. Career highlights include a residency at the Mai Tai Bar Ala Moana, a residency at Four Seasons Resort Oahu, and performances in Osaka, Tokyo, and Tahiti.
Melody's music selection is a compilation of Hawaiian and island, reggae, Latin, Afrobeat, top 40, hip hop, and lounge genres. Beyond her DJ career, Melody is dedicated to making a positive impact on children's lives. She ran a statewide non-profit in Hawaii called YES Hawaii and volunteers at the Jamaica National Children’s Home, where she shares her love for music and brings joy to the children.
